Day-by-day itinerary
Córdoba → Los Gigantes
Airport pickup, coffee and group introductions, transfer to Los Gigantes (2.5-3 hours) with scenic stops and the story of the Sierras de Córdoba region. Light acclimatization hike of 5-7 km, sunset among granite towers. In the afternoon, a climb up Cerro de la Cruz (2-3 hours, gentle elevation gain, spectacular sunset). Night at a mountain refuge.
Cerro Mogote
One of the best viewpoints in the area — this is where the true scale of the range becomes clear. A 12-16 km route with about 700 m of elevation gain. Comfortable for an average group.
Cajón de los Gigantes
Streams, natural pools, and granite mazes — the most relaxed day of the trip, with time to swim and take photos.
Short hike & return
A calm final day: choice of Camino de las Altas Cumbres or Pampa de Achala, short walks, local food. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon.
Route
The route passes through several high-altitude camps with gradual elevation gain for acclimatization. The guide adjusts pace and schedule based on the group's condition and weather — the final timetable is confirmed at the pre-departure briefing.
Altitude profile
A schematic elevation-gain profile by route day — exact figures depend on the chosen ascent variant.

Questions about this expedition
Can I rent equipment locally?
Yes, some technical gear (crampons, ice axe, helmet) can be rented in Mendoza — we help arrange it in advance.
What if I don't reach the summit?
Safety matters more than the summit. The guide can call a turnaround at any stage — joining the expedition doesn't guarantee a successful climb.
How is the group formed?
Groups are small and formed by expedition date — the exact lineup is known a few weeks before departure.
Do I need a visa for Argentina?
It depends on your nationality — we'll confirm the requirements individually during your application.
